Spokane could just decide to love its community more. Everyone wants less crime, but leaning on police to do all the work just creates more prisoners. We need to actually invest in our community; in each other.

SCAR is committed to civil rights reform and achieving racial equity.
This work involves challenging systems and policies that perpetuate discrimination, advocating for marginalized communities, and educating individuals on the impacts of systemic racism. We seek to create a more just and equitable society where everyone has the opportunity to thrive regardless of their race, ethnicity, or background. Join us in our efforts to dismantle racism and build a more inclusive community in Spokane.
We advocate on behalf of civil rights issues and aspire to establish a free clinic for civil rights issues to be addressed here in Spokane.
We believe in public education with Know Your Rights workshops to help people advocate for themselves and help connect people with community members who have had similar experiences.
